Belgian fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck is a true visionary and a self-professed “bear.” Part of the original “Antwerp Six,” his collections rely heavily on fantasy, color, pattern and texture. Besides being a great designer, he’s an all around nice guy!

We are very happy to announce that Delinear is now represented in two exciting new showrooms on the west coast. In the San Francisco bay area, we are now represented at Arkitektura. In the Seattle, Washington area, we are now represented by Trammell-Gagne. Both showrooms feature an array of beautiful modern design collections that are a perfect complement to our hand-knotted rug collections. We are excited for a long and successful relationship!

Six new rug designs originally conceived and sampled in 2004 and fully realized for 2010. The Gradient Collection is a study in line thickness used to create light shadow. Inspired by the graphic patterns of the 70’s and spirit of fashion legend Roy Halston, all six patterns are simple, crisp and surprisingly serene in mood. The collection will debut on the Delinear website in February 2010 and a new printed collection page will be shipped for mid-spring.

80 year old Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is obsessed with dot patterns. Yayoi is famous for applying dot patterns to different objects and often incorporates herself into her own work. Her relationship with pattern is inspired and visionary.
